Many though, have misapplied these scriptures to negate the need (at least psychologically) for personal accountability, completely ignoring other scriptures such as Ezekiel 7:12 ("money is a protection" and Proverbs 10:15 ("The valuable things of a rich man are his strong town. The ruin of the lowly ones is their poverty."
As world events unfold, it appears that the evidence indicates what the scriptures at Ezekiel 7:19 and Zephaniah 1:18 are telling us is that UNTIL that Day, gold and silver will very likely be last bastions of protection in this world of mankind.
