However, there are FIVE thyroid function indicators, and as it turns out, the two NEVER tested for were abnormal.
The doctor who found this out was a naturopathy doctor who does not accept insurance (and the testing was NOT something recognized by insurance carriers).
Anyway, after a couple of years of suffering these attacks on at least a monthly basis, they put me on a monthly shots of very expensive medication which cost roughly 6 thousand pounds per month (Xolair) that helped very little. However, it did meet my deductible with a special deal from the manufacturer, so as I am now older and having some issues, it enabled me to have these other issues ALL 100% paid for!
AI though, very well might have helped me far sooner.
