Quentin LedfordThere is a HUGE difference in one's being religious and one's being spiritual.
Spirituality has to be cultivated in accord with the fruitage of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22, 23 - love, joy, peace, PATIENCE, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control).

Are we in the 'warm bodies' business, or are we on a mission to preach and teach others how to grow to spiritual maturity and live in accord with Divine standards?
Overall, the churches ARE in the 'warm bodies' business. They want to fill their pews with people that they can emotionally solicit for donations.
We are under obligation to sow, to water, and to cultivate.
It is God's determination whether such will grow or how far they will go, not ours.
A big part of my secular work involves sales. In my business this truism is often said...
"Nobody cares how much you know until THEY know how much you CARE!"
BartI was also kind of upset by the way the book study was wording the 'study' :
"Before he could become a Christian, he needed to learn and accept basic Scriptural truths. So Paul and Silas took time to speak “the word of Jehovah to him.”"

I gives the feeling that time went over that. When Peter was speaking and Jews got instantly baptized the WT was saying that it was because they already knew a lot because of being a Jew.
Now in the book study it were gentiles, with no knowledge and still the baptism was done in a matter of hours.
It was midnight when the earthquake happened and before the new day, they were already baptized.
So why is our process so much more different.
Like you say, it is a matter of accepting Jesus and showing repentance.
That is also the stand of Perimeno. Baptism is not about we dedicating ourselves, but showing repentance of our sins before we knew about the truth.

Everything you said is so true, especially the "heartless" point, and it's disgusting how we have to be careful about who we express our honest thoughts and feelings to, because it could go against us and we could be shunned or even disfellowshipped for not agreeing with the GB 100% Jah's org is now very much how the Pharisees were, and look what Jehovah allowed to befall THEM.. not much longer now ❤️

Isaiah 59:14
“Justice is driven back,
And righteousness stands far off;
For truth has stumbled in the public square,
And what is upright is unable to enter.
15 Truth has vanished,
And anyone who turns away from bad is plundered”
Jehovah saw this and was displeased,
For there was no justice”
