While it's always been clear to me that the anointed should partake of the emblems, I've heard many arguments regarding the rest of us, and of course, many churches (all of which teach the 'everybody goes to heaven or hell' ) say that all Christians should partake.

I appreciate his obvious point that those who died prior Christ sacrifice certainly didn't partake of the emblems, nor did the evil-doer who died on the stake next to him with his promise.
So, unless one IS of the anointed, partaking is indeed inappropriate.
