A good friend of mine from another hall had their meeting tonight and had the same local needs. She was so discouraged and said she felt so beaten up. The brother giving the part added to the outline and stressed his personal opinion. I told her....just remember anyone using the stage and their ego as a means of pushing personal opinions and beating up on Jehovah's sheep is not going to be looked kindly on by Jehovah. Especially when these elders are supposed to be like a " hiding place from the storm" (rather than being the storm!) I asked my son if any of the brothers have even asked why they aren't attending in person. He said "no". We currently have air quality issues at our hall and we will be having a major remodel shortly. I know of more than one family that is staying on Zoom because they've had bad reactions to the hall. My daughter in law's lungs aren't good with things like that. Neither are mine. We are not going to put our health at risk when we can still worship Jehovah with the congregation on Zoom. Its all so discouraging!

Unfortunately I went through this experience last night at the meeting as well. I understand the pain. We are in the same situation over here. I have never experienced emotional pain in addition to viral shedding like this ever before in my entire life.
Our hall is going to be undergoing a major remodel from roughly end of September through end of December. Several in our hall not jabbed. And ironically most, if not all, of these one would be the first in line to volunteer for the project. But sadly a letter was read from the Branch saying only jabbed are allowed to help. I told my son and daughter in law ( as well as other friends who aren't jabbed) that this will put undue burden on jabbed ones cuz' they will be missing a LOT of help. The majority of the jabbed ones are older and now sicker.
One of our elders texted my son yesterday asking if he and my daughter in law had given any consideration to helping with the project cuz' he's in real need of security people (there will be 24/7 security) My son responded that they would've loved to help with the project but aren't jabbed so aren't able to help. Know what the elder's reply was? "Any chance you'll get it before the project or no?" My son said, "Definite no. But thanks for thinking of us."
Unbelievable! Like my son said, "If I haven't gotten it yet after all this time WHY would I get it now? Several in our hall have tested positive recently (as well as neighboring halls) and from what I know it's all jabbed that are testing positive. In fact....a good friend was recently at the hospital visiting a dying brother and that's where a lot of them contracted it from ( a sister that was there) So my friend (unjabbed) was in close/direct proximity to these ones and hasn't gotten it. But several jabbed (and faithful mask wearers) did.

I am not jabbed but did contract covid pneumonia in jan 22. It was critical and thank Jeh He pulled me through, which i honestly believe and have not been jabbed yet. It is all so draining.
I remember in our FB group that someone had saved the talk "The Last Hours of Jesus' Life" I thought I'd saved it to my computer but I can't find it and would love to listen to it again before Memorial. Does anyone have that audio?
Just a strictly "curiosity" question for ya'll!
Who all is going to stay on Zoom for awhile rather than going back to in person meetings right away?
I think I personally will. Partially because my hubby (diabetic/4 time stroke survivor) had a big toe removed almost 4 weeks ago and can't put any weight on it. He didn't have great strength or balance before so he definitely doesn't now--so I have to get him around in a wheelchair to the bathroom and what not. He didn't have great strength or balance before so he definitely doesn't now--so I have to get him around in a wheelchair to the bathroom and what not. I don't leave him for very long periods in case he has to go to the bathroom. So I figured I'd just keep watching on Zoom for awhile.
BUT also a big part is the masks. I've rarely worn one the last 2 years..only where I absolutely had to. I have a terrible time breathing in them and there's no way I can go to a 2 hour meeting and wear one. I know some who plan on just not wearing them since the letter said "recommended" not "required". I feel like I'd get death stares!

I had a text from a someone this morning who has is barely able to function with a "heavy head cold" but still going to work..... in a hospital! It is OK as everyone else is doing it too aparently. So if people feel fine to work in a hospital when they are this poorly what is to stop them taking their germs into a KH?

I think the people that start to attend these meetings will fall sick very fast. There is a huge rise in Covid especially amongst the vaccinated people. The meetings in person will only spread the illness.
Has anyone else had Update #10 played during their weeknight meeting this week? Our meeting is tonight and the brother said they are substituing it for the first part under Living As Christians. Wasn't sure if that was direction from GB or just our congregation elders?
Wow...paragraph 12 in the Watchtower today. How timely. One of our elders made a comment about how brothers and sisters used to smoke until the light got brighter and they realized it was defiling their bodies so they made the adjustment. Saying how "stupid and uncaring" ones were.
Laura Mellinger The ones who have not taken this jab are showing strength and a loving attitude. Jesus said, while on the torture stake, "forgive them father, for they know not what they do". When we follow the crowd in these serious matters, what does that say about us? Are we really going through the narrow path? When someone expresses his or her opinion in front of an audience about this so called vaccine, are they really showing the love that we are suppose to be noted for. Jesus said to have love for the whole association of brothers. The VAX spreads this disease faster than anything else can. It is destroying the immune system that Jehovah has already given us. It is killing people. So much harm has already been done by these shots and the boosters that I just want to cry. When people say these hurtful things, they are causing divisions and pain to their brothers and sisters. This is how Satan is disrupting the unity and progress we are needing to make. When their eyes are finally opened to how deadly this shot really is and they will, what will they be thinking then. I think of young Daniel who stood up in behalf of Jehovah and stood firm. Do not be disillusioned Lori, my dear sister, we are under attack. At times I feel alone because everyone around me has the shot but we are not alone. Remember the example of Elijah. He felt alone too but Jehovah showed assured him he was not alone. You have nothing to feel bad about!
