Are You Keeping On The Watch?

How many of us were prepared for the sudden outbreak of Covid-19 which came as a thief in the night for everyone of us. Overnight the world was changed bringing with it, loss of lives, business closures, loss of homes, anxiety, insecurities and long term effects, such as disruptive schooling leaving children with mental health problems unlike anything ever experienced, along with family break down, while violence and alcoholism also increased.

Yet the Bible warns us at Revelation 6:8 that the rider of the “Pale Horse” would bring “deadly plague” and food shortages.

The Pale Horse is gathering momentum, while satan knows he too has a short period of time, all he wants is that we become so “complacent” and burdened down with the trials and difficulties of life, that we switch off spiritually to what’s really going on around us, becoming lulled into a “false sense” of security, while the drums of war are sounding right now.

Yet many are unaware, that the fulfilment in Daniel 11 the King of the North & South’s pushing could lead to very serious unfolding events, such as a total collapse of the entire economy, which would leave people over night without any money as your bank accounts would be empty, food stores would become low on stock and prices for the basic items would go through the roof. This has been in the making for some years, the rulers of this world, have been waiting for the right scenario of events to unfold, so as to set this collapse in motion.

The Bible warns us about these tyrants at

Ephesians 6:12

“Because we have a struggle, not against blood and flesh, but against the governments, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the wicked spirit forces in the heavenly places”

Yes Jehovah will help us during the out break of Armageddon, but by faith we are expected to “keep on the watch” just as Jesus warned us to. Did Noah enter the ark not making preparation for food while in the Ark and after ?

Did Moses and the Israelites, leave Egypt empty handed or did they bring plenty of livestock until they ran out then Jehovah intervened ?

Faith is paying heed to the warnings, not sitting back expecting others to keep on the watch for us. The scriptures say at

Philippians 2:12

“Consequently, my beloved ones, just as you have always obeyed, not only during my presence but now much more readily during my absence, keep working out YOUR OWN salvation with fear and trembling”

The scriptures also warn us about a powerful coming delusion, one that would be so convincing that if possible even the elect may be deceived. 2 Thessalonians 2:11

“That is why God lets a deluding influence mislead them so that they may come to believe the lie, 12 in order that they all may be judged because they did not believe the truth but took pleasure in unrighteousness”

So this deluding influence would not just deceive the world, but Jehovah’s people too, if they weren’t fully awake and keeping on the watch as Jesus instructed.

That’s why more than anytime in history we need to be vigilant, while looking out for one another, be courageous as we know Jehovah despises cowards. The scriptures say at

 Proverbs 22:3

“The shrewd one sees the danger and conceals himself, But the inexperienced keep right on going and suffer the consequences”

While it says at

Mark 13:37

“But what I say to you, I say to all: Keep on the watch.”

So keep vigilant and watchful and make needed preparations for you and your loved ones, this too may benefit those of our brothers who are unable to keep on the watch for themselves, due to old age or poor health these ones need our undivided attention at this time.

Jesus gave us a good reminder at

Matthew 25:42

For I became hungry, but you gave me nothing to eat; and I was thirsty, but you gave me nothing to drink. 43 I was a stranger, but you did not receive me hospitably; naked, but you did not clothe me; sick and in prison, but you did not look after me.’ 44 Then they too will answer with the words: ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and did not minister to you?’ 45 Then he will answer them, saying: ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of these least ones, you did not do it to me.’ 46 These will depart into everlasting cutting-off, but the righteous ones into everlasting life.”
